MSU hires Jason Krutz as Irrigation Specialist for DREC
Mississippi State University has named Dr. Jason Krutz as Extension/Research Irrigation Specialist at the Delta Research and Extension Center effective May 1.
Jason has worked in irrigation management and water quality and quantity research for almost ten years. He holds a dual appointment with the MSU Extension Service and the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station.
“We are excited to have Jason on board as an irrigation specialist. His expertise in water quality issues and irrigation management is greatly needed and will be a valuable asset to Delta growers,†said Dr. Steve Martin, DREC head.
Jason formerly worked as a research soil scientist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service in Stoneville. A native of Blytheville, Ark., he holds a doctorate in agronomy from Texas A&M and master’s and undergraduate degrees in agronomy from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
