What Bugs Are In The Ditches?  Wild Host Survey 5/17/2012

From time to time we send crews out to survey insect pest populations in ditchbanks adjacent to agricultural fields.  This gives us an idea of what to expect later in the season based on what and how many pests we are finding in the ditchbanks.  We will begin to post these results here now an then to give you a heads up.  Be careful mowing or killing vegetation in ditchbanks adjacent to squaring cotton.  This will certainly move all plant bugs to the cotton.  Try and take care of clipping or spraying ditchbanks well in advance of your cotton squaring.
