Ditch Bank Survey 6/27/2012
Overall, tarnished plant bug numbers appear to be decreasing across the Delta. Several things are contributing to this decline. The biggest factor is that the hot, dry weather is starting to take it’s toll on a lot of the wild hosts. As a result, the bugs are starting to become more dispersed across the landscape looking for suitable sites for feeding and reproduction. In most cases, this is going to be irrigated crop fields. The link below shows the survey numbers from this week.
