2013 Cotton Maturity Guide

Although performance generally drives variety selection decisions, varietal maturity is usually considered when making variety selection decisions.  To that end, we have updated our cotton maturity chart for 2013.  Keep in mind that several factors can affect varietal maturity and that this guide should be used for planning purposes only.  Factors such as over fertilization (particularly with nitrogen), fruit shed, hail damage, etc. can delay maturity throughout the course of the growing season.  In addition, varieties can differ with respect to maturity depending on the environment in which they are being grown.  You are encouraged to use your personal experience with these varieties along with this guide when determining maturity differences from one variety to another.  To access the 2013 cotton maturity guide, please follow the link below.
