Mississippi State University/Monsanto Company Pigweed Field Day – July 17, 2013
The Mississippi State University Extension Service in cooperation with Monsanto Company will host a pigweed field day near Robinsonville, MS on July 17, 2013. The field day location is just north of Tunica National Golf Course. A more detailed map is provided below. The field day will begin at 9 a.m. and will conclude at 11 a.m. followed by a free lunch at the Tunica Riverpark Pavilion. Door prizes have been provided and will be given away at lunch.
Topics at the field day will include pigweed management systems in cotton and soybeans. In addition, tour stops addressing Roundup Ready Xtend technology, off-target herbicide movement, and spray tip technology will be available. Attendees will get a first hand view of various research and demonstration projects as well as Roundup Ready Xtend cotton and soybeans.
Speakers from Mississippi State University will include Darrin Dodds, Trent Irby, Dan Reynolds, and Jason Bond. Speakers from Monsanto Company will include Anthony Mills among others. Registration is free of charge, will occur on-site, and will begin at 8 a.m. on July 17.
