2013 Row Crop Short Course

The 2013 Row Crop Short Course will be held at the Bost Extension Center on the campus of Mississippi State University from December 2 – 4, 2013.  The 2013 Row Crop Short Course will begin with an irrigation symposium hosted by Dr. Jason Krutz along with several other crop specialists and other irrigation experts from Mississippi State University and beyond.  The afternoon of Monday, December 2nd will focus on entomological issues in various row crops.  Tuesday, December 3rd will feature a complete program including nutrient management and weed management information.  In addition, Dr. Laura Grapes from Monsanto will speak regarding RNAi technology which will be sure to raise some eyebrows.  The program on Wednesday, December 4th will focus on plant pathology as well as managing your land for wildlife.  A copy of the preliminary program including CCA CEU credits can be found by following the link below.

2013 Row Crop Short Course Preliminary Program

Lunch will be provided each day of the Short Course as well as a fish fry/social event on Monday evening and a steak and shrimp dinner on Tuesday evening.  Each evening event will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn on Highway 12 just north of campus.  As usual, pre-registration is free of charge as long as it is completed by November 27th.  Registration after November 27th, including at the door is $40 per person.  Registration may be completed on-line by following the link below.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hilton Garden Inn in Starkville for the 2013 Mississippi State University Row Crop Short Course.  Rooms are available on a first come, first served basis.
