Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation Peanut Commodity Meeting, July 17, Aberdeen
The Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation Summer Peanut Commodity Meeting will be held Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Monroe County Extension Office in Aberdeen. The building is located at 517 Highway 145 North in Suite 1.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide information to peanut growers about current issues facing the peanut industry and to engage growers in a policy development process that will assist Farm Bureau in working on peanut issues in the legislative arena. We have several outstanding speakers lined up to bring you the latest in peanut production information, peanut policy issues, and other peanut news. The meeting will end with a policy development session to discuss new policy recommendations and review current peanut policy.
All peanut growers and anyone involved in the peanut industry are welcomed and encouraged to attend. Registration will begin at 9:45 a.m., with the meeting starting at 10:00 a.m.
Lunch will be served and the meeting will conclude shortly after the meal.
Video conference locations will also be available at County Extension Offices in other areas of the state for growers who are unable to travel to the Aberdeen location.
