Soil Moisture Sensor Field Days

Mississippi State University Extension is in the process of planning two soil moisture sensor field days for Summer 2015.  Attendee will view demonstrations and presentations of the agronom20140811_krutzic advantages of utilizing soil moisture sensors to trigger row crop irrigation presented by Dr. Jason Krutz, MSU Irrigation Specialist.  Manufactures and distributor sales representatives will present short presentations concerning the types of sensors available here in Mississippi, advantages, and cost.  Each manufacture and distributor will have demonstrations tents set up for additional information.  The dates for the field days are July 16th at the Delta Research and Extension Center in Stoneville and August 6th at the Coahoma County Extension Building in Clarksdale.  Both events will begin at 1:30 in the afternoon.
