The United States Department of Agriculture – Agriculture Marketing Service released the 2015 Cotton Varieties Planted Report on September 15, 2015. Mississippi cotton growers planted 29% of the total state acreage to ST 4946GLB2; 16.5% of the total acreage to DP 1321 B2RF; 8.6% of the total acreage to DP 1133 B2RF; and 6.2% of the total acreage to PHY 499 WRF. By company, DeltaPine had 49% of the total market in MS followed by Bayer CropScience, Phytogen, Americot, and Dyna-Gro at 35%, 12%, 4%, and 0.4%, respectively.
