In March, the Mississippi Bureau of Plant Industries and other states in the Mid-South submitted Emergency Exemption (Section 18) requests to use Transform for tarnished plant bug control in cotton. The reason for this request is that the original registration was vacated based on an order from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals as a result of a lawsuit filed by the Pollinator Stewardship Council and others. It is worth noting that the Mississippi Beekeepers Association submitted a letter directly to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in support of this Section 18 request.

The EPA is in the process of evaluating that request and have opened a 15 day comment period. The following link will take you to the comment page if you choose to submit a comment.
