2018 Row Crop Short Course

The program for the 2018 Mississippi State University Row Crop Short Course has been finalized and registration is open to those who would like to attend.  The 2018 Row Crop Short Course will be held at the Cotton Mill Conference Center in Starkville, MS on December 3-5, 2018.  The program will begin at 9 am on Tuesday, December 3rd and conclude at 12 pm on Wednesday, December 5th.

Registration is free of charge if completed prior to November 23, 2018.  Registration after November 23, including at the door will be $40 per person.  All registrations include all meals each day of the Short Course as well as snacks and drinks throughout.  Once again in 2018, we will have live entertainment on Monday, December 3rd and Tuesday, December 4th as well as our customary steak and shrimp dinner on the evening of Tuesday, December 4th.

The 2018 Row Crop Short Course will host 35 presentations regarding row crop agriculture with 16 of those presentations being from out of state speakers.  Topics will include entomology, plant pathology, weed science, agronomy, and agricultural economics as well as others.  We are honored to host Mississippi Commissioner of Agriculture Mr. Andy Gipson on Tuesday, December 4th.

Certified crop advisor CEUs, consultants license renewal, and pesticide applicator re-certification credits have been applied for and will be finalized once approved.

A block of hotel rooms are available at the Courtyard By Marriott (662-338-3116) and Comfort Suites (662-324-9595).  Other local hotels include the recently renovated Hampton Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, La Quinta, and Holiday Inn Express.
