Rice stink bug infestations in heading rice have increased considerably this week.  With the status of pyrethroid resistance in rice stink bug, these products are not the best option especially if infestation levels are high.  Tenchu 20SG has provided good control of rice stink bug, and there have been some fields treated with Tenchu.  Also Mississippi has received a Section 18 Label for Endigo ZCX for control of rice stink bug in rice.  The label is attached. Specifics include one application (per acre)  per year is allowed at at rate up to 6 oz per acre.  This label is valid from July 14, 2023 through October 15, 2023.  All Endigo ZCX applications under this Section 18 Label for rice must be reported to the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Forestry Bureau of Plant Industry.
