Overall bollworm trap counts dropped slightly this week from last week, but this varied greatly by county with Lowndes county nearly tripling its counts while Sunflower county had less than 25% as many this week compared to last week. Compared to the 10-year average for this week, all counties were average to above average, so bollworm pressure will still be substantial in susceptible crops. Tobacco budworm trap catches remained negligible throughout the state.
