According to the National Weather Service in Jackson Mississippi, Northern parts of the State are anywhere from 4-8 inches below the States Normal Rainfall. While Southern parts of the State are 12-16 inches below. Normal rainfall for the State of Mississippi ranges from 50-65 inches across the state from North to South.
