Heliothine Trap Counts, September 7, 2023

Bollworm moth pheromone trap counts dropped some from last week to levels about average for this time of year. While overall insect pressure is not extremely high at this time, the number of fields that are attractive to bollworms are getting fewer, so late planted fields surrounded by mature and harvested fields may still see high bollworm pressure. Tobacco budworm pressure continues to be low.
